Using the log to find out what was restored

You can jump behind the scenes and use the Log to find out things that Athenaeum has done at different times.

For example, if you want details of the items that you restored from the archive to the catalogue in 2015, try this:
  • at the main menu, click the Nav button at the top
  • click log
  • enter find mode
  • enter 2015 in the date field
  • enter "archive return" into the log type field
  • press enter
there is a list of dates, times and descriptions of the returns.
The log can be useful to find such actions. And if you hunt backwards from the action you are interested in, you can also see the IP address of the computer as well as the user name of the logged in user. This information can be useful if you are of a forensic inclination!
