The QuickMARC entry screen has been re-organised to more clearly show the steps and choices available. The red “Add” button will directly add results to the catalogue. The blue buttons will add the results to the MARC utility (allowing review before adding to the catalogue.
This button will attempt to match ISBNs against the Open Library (https://openlibrary.org), a free community driven library service.
The MARC detail screen has been reworked with embedded labels, allowing for a significant de-cluttering (yay!).
The above screen shows examples of visible embedded labels (e.g. item type, cover, series, etc.). When no data is in the field, the labels are visible, otherwise they are hidden.
The list view has taller, easier to read rows and include images when they come down from the MARC source.
Additional fields are available as destinations when customising MARC tags and subfields.
The additional fields correlate to the new fields in the catalogue and make it easier to configure Athenaeum for upcoming Resource Description and Access (RDA) tags coming from some suppliers.
